I have never heard of a belt being revoked before. From my understanding, revoking of menkyo licenses and titles are not uncommon or unheard of. But having a rank revoked is something new to me.
Not trying to make light of the situation, I wish you well and that your continued training proceeds on smoothly.
Please remember you are still a respected member of HRGB and MLCAA.
Let me know if you need any help.
Colin

It's Mother's Day, so I'm being pampered by my family, and allowed extra time to visit my favorite places on the internet.
I appreciate your support, Colin. It is a nice thought to know that I'm still a respected member here. Thank you.
I'm quite happy right now. I have a very wonderful, and dedicated Sensei teaching me. I have more than enough challenges ahead of me to keep me busy. What more could I ask for???

Update: It has been three years since my Shotokan Shodan status was revoked, and then, as a kind acknowledgment of my effort, and knowledge, I was recognized by near a half dozen International organizations. You can read the details here: supergroup7shodan.blogspot.com/2008/02/techical-details-of-my-belt-rank-in.htmlI have since devoted myself to my Kyokushin Karate training. I will be attending a National Tournament in a few months to represent my dojo as a Kata competitor.
