Okay finally, sorry for being Tardy Fistly thank you to Sensei / Sabumnim Colin Wee for the invite to his personal forum i am very humbled and honoured to be involved, especially with the prestigeous members that are now on board. I am hoping to be able to contribute some meager input into the vast insight that i know will be evident on this forum. My name is tim posynick I have actively studied the martial sciences / arts since late 1981. I have been very fortunate in my history to have experienced many positive lessons from the martial arts and have only a few negative ones, for that i am forever grateful. I started with the barenuckle style of Kyokushinkai Karate, moved into Phillipino Kung fu, then into Chinese Chuan Fa and Kenpo/ju-jitsu, settled back into Shotokan Karate, then evolved into Tae Kwon Do. With dabbles in several other styles along the way such as Thai boxing and Ninjitsu. Presently I am evolving my own systemised approach which blends the strengths of all of the systems of which i have been exposed to. My theory is that of symplicity with philosophy, emphasising personal growth and evolution through martial study. feel free to visit me on the web at www.jungshindo.cacheers all and thanks again to Colin

Welcome aboard Tim! I'm glad you're here. Just so everyone knows, another reason for me to be excited is that Tim and I use the same book as a reference for our 'Traditional TKD' practice.

Wow.. Welcome to the forum, Sensei Tim.
Does your melded systemised approach have a little bit from each art? Does it contain patterns, and if so, from which style?
I can't wait to visit your website, but right now I have to go do my motherly responsibilities.
Thanks for joining us, Mireille

hi Mireille thanks for the welcome, and please just Tim is fine. For me the term Sensei, even though I use it at times formally, is for those whom I perceive to epitimise the essence of the martial spirit. I am still a rookie in the grand scheme of things, as a good TKD friend of mine said, just a beginner that didn't quit. Please visit my site frequently and drop me a line, I would be honoured to hear from you. Cheers Tim

Hi Tim... I had the lucky chance to visit your website today.
I love the philosophy of your art, it echoes, and amplifies what I have experienced, and developed in my own training.
I noticed that all of the students were wearing black gi, and white belts in one of the school pictures. I've always wanted to wear a black gi to class, and I felt a little surge of envy there.. ha ha ha. The more recent pictures have the students wearing white with black collars. Is that the outfit that your students wear at this point in time?
I like how you spelled out the parent's responsibility to them on the website. Straightforward, and to the point, it helps clear any confusions, and mis-understandings.
I enjoyed reading the black belt essays. It is wonderful to see the development of knowledge, and understanding.
Congratulations, Tim, for doing such a good work for the furtherment of martial arts.

Sifu Ron, I have had the gift of some moments today to be able to keep my promise to return to your website for a longer visit when I said that I " popped into your website for a quick peek, and found out that there is SO much there that I'll need to go back, and take a nice long visit."
I'd like to commend you on such a sophisticated, impressive, and well organized website. It is nice to be able to put a face to your name. You are in SUCH a low stance in your intro picture that my legs cramp just looking at it. I can only aspire to achieve that kind of flexibility.
What a wonderful thing to be able to say about oneself in your introduction page .. that you are happy. I believe that this is the goal of every person on earth, but so many people have made the goal unattainable by their efforts to try to achieve it.
Wow! I read that you have a nice break in the middle of training to drink some tea. What a lovely thought! What a nice way of balancing energy, and rest.
This site contains SO much that I just cannot see it all in just a few encounters. Wow.. what a resource. Thank you so much for allowing us to visit.

Thank you very much Mireille!
I am not sure that I am deserving of such high praise but thank you all the same. I am humbled to know that you have gained something of value from our site.
Why so much info? The answer is simple ... I love the martial arts and in particular the White Crane form that I want to share this with others.
Once again, thank you very much for your all too kind words.

This Is a Excerpt from my Web Site I thought i would Post hear, if any one wanted to know a little more about me, but for the life of me i do not know why one would. as i all way say, I am Just Me What you see is what you get. Just a country boy.
The Madison Martial Arts Academy Teaches this one time secretive art in the form of the Chinese Shaolin Kung-Fu / Karate system Headed by Grandmaster Michael W. Neal. Grandmaster Neal Began The Madison Martial Arts Academy in 1973 in Richmond {Madison Co} Kentucky in those days the Martial Arts in general was not well known, much less Shaolin Kung-Fu. The only exposure to the Martial Arts was the Green Hornet (Bruce Lee), the Bruce Lee era had just started at this time and he and his Movies did a great deal for the Martial Arts, but still little was known of Him or this Great Fighting Style. It was not unlit the mid 70's with the series of Kung-Fu ( David Caradine ). That the Martial Arts and the Chinese Shaolin Martial arts came into Light. Now that it had came into the Light and Every one wanted to Learn about it, finding a Teacher (Sifu or Sensei) was even harder than it was before. People like Chuck Norris, Bill "Super foot" Wallace, Joe Lewis was hard to get, as the Martial Arts "Boom" had hit. Grandmaster Neal found his Grandmaster in (1963) a man that he Looked up to as a Young Child and as a Man as he grew older. His Name was Grandmaster Liang Hsing Mingchuan (1920 - 1995), Grandmaster Ming as we called him was a Little Chinese man only about 5'4" tall but what he was in Hight he made up for in Love and in the Arts. Grandmaster Neal, even quit School to train in the Martial Arts {He later went back and finished his education}. Grandmaster Ming had Learned The Shaolin Martial Arts from Grandmaster Chuan Lo Li (1880 - 1970) who at one time was in the Peking Opera. Grandmaster Neal Loved the Shaolin Arts, he never Played sports as the Other Children did (Basketball, Football, Baseball) Just the Martial Arts till it and him became "One", becoming one with something was the Driving force of all the teaching that Grandmaster Ming taught, and what Grandmaster Neal Still Teaches Today. Michael W. Neal was born in Richmond, Kentucky in the 1950'S to John B. & Betty Neal Got his Primary Education in Lexington, Kentucky Married His wife Donna Jo in 1989. He has 4 Children and 6 Grandchildren, 3 step-Children and 3 step-Grandchildren. One of his Step-Children {Greg Butler} is a Ni-Dan (2nd Degree Black Belt}, Under Him. Grandmaster Neal Teaches that to make it in Life and in the Martial Arts one has to be True to their Own Word. Grandmaster Ming Retired in 1993 and Passed the Leadership onto Grandmaster Neal, Giving Him the Rank of 10Th Degree Black Belt and The Title Of Grandmaster This was something that Mike Neal was not too fond of having, not because he did not want to Honer his Grandmaster's Wishes but because he was not sure he could handle such a Great Art. But Grandmaster Ming Told Him that with great Knowledge comes Great Leadership and that He had Great Knowledge. So in 1993 Michael Neal became the Leader of the Chinese Shaolin Kung-Fu / Karate System, and still teaches with Great Knowledge. He states that in order to Learn one Must Empty ones self to get filled up again. In the 13 years of Leadership he still is emptying and getting refilled, Like a Sponge soaking up more & more. The Shaolin Arts Gives more and more, year after Year.

I'm happy to welcome my long time friend and training partner Will Senn (decuser). Will's personality shines through his martial arts - he is easy going, smart, and thoughtful. I have learned much from him, and am happy that he's made his way back to the martial arts and over to my little forum. Will is trained in American Karate ... basically the same Taekwondo system that I have trained in. Colin
