This poll is for Taekwondo practitioners who are trained in the Chang Hon patterns as authored by General Choi Hong Hi. Please do not fill this in if you do another form of TKD.
The objective of this poll is to understand how much Chang Hon patterns features in your training.
Once you've voted, please tell us what your training is like.
Thank you.

I have made Chang Hon provide a framework for absolutely everything that I attempt to teach a beginner to black belt. This includes sparring, self defence, and strategy. It has made categorisation of techniques a breeze for me, even without the tome that we call our syllabus. There are drills that we use that do not feature in Chang Hon. But for these drills to work, obviously the skills that we want to develop are embedded in Chang Hon. I did not vote 'Kata is out lifeblood' because we do use a few techniques outside Chang Hon, aiki stuff, and kobudo work. All this other training doesn't detract from Chang Hon TKD. It emphasizes what we do or do not do, and I think still augments the overall system.
