I've visited your blog more than once. I wanted to get a real feel for it before I commented.
I like how you have set it up. It's pleasing to the eye, Informative, Organized, and even entertaining. It's quite a good resource for a Tae Kwon Do student to turn to on their various requirements. It also gives straight forward guidance on the mental formation that is needed for a Martial artist. This is something that is not always emphasized during training. I like how you bring it out in the open.
I also like how you post what you focused on at each lesson. Not only does this give you a form of record of what you had taught, but also allows your students to come and check what they had missed if they were absent from class, or to review before an oncoming test.
I might do something similar, but not as detailed for my dojo. Time has dictated that I need to cut the corners on some leisure activities such as internet.
I would like it if you would include an archive on the blog so that I could go look at your older posts more easilly, if you wish.

I've visited your blog more than once. I wanted to get a real feel for it before I commented. Thank you, Mir. I find class is a lousy forum for discussion. This way I get to practice writing and explaining techniques. Maybe one day I might even complete my book and publish it!!! I've also found that there are so few resources on the web that discuss a technique in itself. Some discussions are about possible applications. Some touch on favourite techniques. Yet there are no resources that drill into a particular aspect of class. I hope that this blog can continue and that all practitioners have a forum to just talk about pros and cons and difficulties of their technique. And in an unprejudiced manner. That is one of my intentions. I also wanted my other black belt friends to come in and see whether or not I'm full of s*** or am I really teaching the right things. It's always challenging when you open yourself up ... this is just part of what I think is my 'continuing education' as a black belt instructor :-) That's interesting - you know just getting some points down of what you are thinking might alert students to talk about what happens in class or what aspects to focus on. I think there is an archive already - check out the right vertical menu pane. There's a lot of stuff there, but I'm sure that an archive allows you to look through stuff. I'm going to start posting on upper level stuff soon too. So look out for postings on forms you practice as well. Colin
