Hi there, I'm new to this forum, so it'll take a while to catch up with the discussions here, but in the meantime, i thought you might like to see a very particular 'history' of taekwondo. i collect postage stamps that feature taekwondo. many of them won't be to everybody's taste here because SO many are sports orientated, however, there are other tkd angles in the mix too. (ps, my personal training preference is sports, but we won't fall out over it!) my collection is an interesting cultural commentary on post 1960s taekwondo. you can see it at: www.flickr.com/photos/mikeheaththis is the first ever tkd stamp (south korea 1969): www.flickr.com/photos/mikeheath/268380752/i hope you enjoy taking a look.

Good to have you on board Mike.
Your collection is indeed very interesting, irrespective of whether it has a focus on any one aspect of taekwondo. Excellent work! I really like it that you included the link to the 'first ever'. Very cool.
Regards,
Colin

Im not into stamps myself but like to see cross-overs... neither am i really, not apart from these tkd ones. i was sheltering from a rainstorm in the nearest shop one day. it just happened to be a stamp shop with a tkd stamp on show in a packet... (you can guess the rest!)
