Thank you. It did fine. All I needed was something to go on. Noted. Then that would be more similar to Shotokan.

Just so that everyone's on the same page, I've made Sean Wright a moderator on the Korean Karate board. This is in the hope that he'd take ownership and take the lead in an area in which I have no experience but am very interested to learn about.
Also, I have added Mir (supergroup7) as a moderator in the hope that Mir can compare and contrast current or traditional Shotokan practices to Sean's style. I think this would be an interesting and exciting exercise. Perhaps Mir can take the lead off Sean? But otherwise, you've got some flexibility to manage this board.
I will do the best I can with what I have. Thank you for the confidence in me, Colin. I had time to pull something together this morning. I hope that it transfers well onto the forum.

I First would like to say thank you, to Mr White for Inviting me to the forum & for you Excepting me. I Feel Honored to be among some of the Elite in the Martial Arts World. I have spent many years in the Martial Arts But still know so little, I have learned that the Martial arts are so vast that we can only hope to learn a small part of it. I all ways hope to teach some, but to learn more, after years of teaching, i have come to learn more from my students, than i teach. We can learn from each other. I thank you all for the Opportunity to do so.
GM, Neal

I thank you all for the Opportunity to do so. GM, Neal GM Neal, Thank you for your graciousness. TMAC is far from being part of the 'martial arts elite,' but I hope you'll come to see we're honest-to-goodness practitioners trying to understand a little more of what we do. TMAC was formed to celebrate the uniqueness of each practitioner. Despite wearing a certain 'style', each of us in turn develops a unique expertise. TMAC is as much about clarifying tradition as it is talking about the experiential lens that one uses to view that tradition. IN that regard, we are highly honoured to have you here with us. Especially when you have shown some enthusiasm for our cause - and have requested us to form a new 'China' category for your own forms. That is excellent. Would you like to further subdivide it into Northern and Southern Styles? Or internal/external arts? Please let me know. I hope you'll in time build resources here that can benefit your own students. Or any other student of the chinese chuan fa/kempo arts. Again, good to have you on board. Regards, Colin

Si Tai Gung White is very generous. Yes, it would be nice to see you here more. Especially now that you have GM Neal on board. It would be interesting to understand more of the Chinese Arts. IN fact being ethnically Chinese I feel great embarassment that I know so little of Chinese styled martial arts. Most of what I know really comes from stories and movies! Colin

Hi all, My name is Ron Goninan and I am a family man (Beautiful wife and four children) and I work in the field of Security (12 years) and more recently Graphic Arts & Design. In regard to the martial arts I serve as the humble Director/Chairman (Guan Zhan) of the White Crane Research Institute (Incorporation Number INC9874707). As such,I oversee and co-ordinate the activities and research undertaken by the White Crane Research Institute (WCRI). I act in the capacity as the supervisor and administrator of the Association and related activities in the field of martial arts. The White Crane Research Institute's aim is to research the essence and spirit of Crane-Fist and related traditions with integrity and honesty. I have been involved within the martial arts in various forms and levels for the past 33 4 years. I started out training in Shotokan Karate before moving onward to Matsumura Shorin-Ryu and Okinawan Hakutsuruken (White Crane) on Okinawa before "discovering" my true love of Chinese White Crane. I am a keen writer and have had articles regarding White Crane published in Australasian Fighting Arts, Fight Times, Traditional Karate, Combat, Bujutsu International and of course Blitz magzine. I have been lucky to have undertaken a modest amount of research into White Crane via various people such as our Technical Master Sifu Ruan Dong, Sifu Yap Leong, Sifu Erle Montaigue (Dim-Mak), Sifu Paul Wollos, Sifu Gu-Ping, Shifu Lorne Bernard and Sifu Fai. Making no claim to being a “master of anything”, I simply try to do my best by those who choose to walk on the martial arts path with me.To many, I am simply “Ron”, eschewing the use of titles and ranks, I believe the essence of the martial arts is what matters most I ama member of the Martial Arts Industry Association (Membership No. 414), the peak association for martial arts in Australia as recognised by the Australian Government. I am also a member in good standing of the International Alliance of Martial Arts Schools. I hold Internal Martial Arts Instructor Qualifications with the World Taiji Boxing Association and am a life member of the Australian Therapeutic Movement Association. I welcome anyone who share's an interest in White Crane and the martial arts to come and train with us, No Bowing, No kowtowing and no fees! Just sharing in the experience of the martial arts. No need for uniforms, were a pretty relaxed bunch of guys. So feel free to join with us as we explore the martial arts together. We have a humble web site at: home.austarnet.com.au/tsurukenIf you take a look, please take the time to sign the Guestbook ... and please say something nice! I am here on this board to share and learn.
